Thanksgiving Basketball Camp in Irvine: 3 Mornings Over Break

School is out. Fall soccer is done. And your kid has three free mornings before the turkey.

UYP Thanksgiving Camp gives them something to do with them.

The details

• When: Monday, November 23 to Wednesday, November 25
• Time: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
• Where: Momentous Sports Center, 14522 Myford Rd, Irvine, CA 92606
• Who: Boys and girls, kindergarten through high school
• Skill level: All levels. Never played is fine.

Drop off at 9. Pick up at noon. The rest of the day is yours.

UYP is closed Thursday and Friday, November 26 and 27, so coaches and families get the holiday too.

What a morning looks like

Players are split into groups by grade and experience. A first grader who has never dribbled is not on the same court as a 7th grader on a school team.

Each morning mixes:

• Skill stations. Small groups, one coach, lots of touches. Ball handling, footwork, shooting.
• Drills that turn into games. Short, fast, and a little loud.
• Live play and scrimmages. Where they get to use what they just learned.

Thanksgiving Camp is a good way to try UYP before committing to anything. If your kid loves it:

• Winter Camp runs during winter break, December 21 and 22, with a second session planned for December 28 and 30.
• Skills Academy runs year-round after school, including Rookies for the youngest players.
